2024 Poverty Level Income Inequality. The global extreme poverty rate increased in 2020 for the first time in decades, setting back progress by three years. The world development indicators (wdi) databases present a wide range of inequality indicators such as the gini index and the share of consumption or income held by each quintile.

Using the most recent data from the poverty and inequality platform (pip), the world bank has identified 52 countries as having high levels of inequality. Well they earn just 8%.
